AI is here.
Let's make sense of it.

The good, the bad, and the useful. AI Dawn is a space for honest conversations about AI and hands-on learning for people who want to understand it on their own terms.

AI is already part of daily life. Here's what that looks like.

Whether you're running a business, working a day job, or just trying to keep up, it helps to understand what's actually going on.

68%

of U.S. small businesses are already using AI in some form, up from 48% just two years ago.

80%

of people using AI tools report improved productivity in their daily work.

54%

of businesses say lack of understanding is their biggest barrier to getting started.

These numbers tell one side of the story. There are real concerns about AI too, from data privacy to environmental impact. That's exactly why understanding it matters.

People are using AI in ways you might not expect.

The Small Business Owner
You're juggling everything. Some business owners are using AI to draft social posts, handle invoices, and respond to customers faster. It's not for everyone, but it's worth understanding what's possible.
The Retiree
You're not trying to start a tech company. But people are using AI to plan gardens, organize recipes, research trips, and get help with taxes. It's simpler than you'd expect, and you get to decide if it's useful.
The Parent or Caregiver
Between the kids, the house, and everything else, your to-do list never ends. Some parents are using AI to meal plan, draft emails, organize schedules, and answer random questions at 11pm. It's one more tool in the toolbox, if you want it.
The Skeptic
You're not convinced AI is a good thing, and you've got real reasons why. That's valid. AI Dawn is a space to ask hard questions, understand the risks, and make your own informed decision. You're welcome here.

Julia, founder of AI Dawn

Why I Started AI Dawn

Hi, I'm Julia. I live in Wallowa County and I'm a senior software engineer with over eight years in the tech and AI industry. I've worked with some of the most innovative teams in the space, and I use AI tools every day in my own work. I also have real concerns about the speed this technology is moving and the implications that come with it.

I started AI Dawn because I think everyone deserves to understand what's happening with this technology, not just the people building it. You don't need a tech background. You don't need to love AI. You just need to be curious. I'm here to share what I know, have honest conversations, and let you decide for yourself.

Whether you're excited, skeptical, or somewhere in between, you're welcome here.
